6 червня 2023 року внаслідок руйнації російськими військами дамби на Каховській ГЕС знищено зоопарк «Казкова діброва», що знаходиться в Херсонській області, в м. Нова Каховка на території парку імені С. М. Фалдзинського.
Каховська ГЕС розташована за 5 км від захопленої росіянами Нової Каховки. Забір води для розблокованого окупантами з початку вторгнення Північно-Кримського каналу проводиться саме в Каховському водосховищі.
Ця ГЕС – нижній й останній за рахунком (шостий) ступінь в каскаді Дніпровських водосховищ. Гідроелектростанція біля Нової Каховки забезпечує річне регулювання стоку Дніпра для того, щоб у південній частині України були електрика і вода.
20 жовтня 2022 року президент України Володимир Зеленський вже попереджав, що росія готується влаштувати новий масштабний теракт – підірвати дамбу Каховської ГЕС у Херсонській області. Тоді ж він перерахував інші наслідки, якими загрожує підрив Каховської ГЕС та її дамби:
– у небезпечній зоні опиняться сотні тисяч мешканців півдня України, які можуть постраждати від спровокованої повені
– може бути зруйноване забезпечення водою значної частини півдня України та Криму
– російський теракт може залишити Запорізьку атомну станцію без води для охолодження, адже вода для ЗАЕС береться саме з Каховського водосховища
– загальні руйнівні екологічні, гуманітарні, техногенні наслідки такого теракту досягнуть масштабів історичної катастрофи
6 червня 2023 року це відбулося! росія зруйнувала дамбу на Каховській ГЕС. Під загрозою затоплення опинилися села на правобережній частині річки Дніпро в Херсонській області. Відбувається евакуація.
Окрім масштабної шкоди, яку окупанти завдали населенню постраждали великі території цінних природних ресурсів. Ми втратили зоопарк та комплекс відпочинку «Казкова діброва», що знаходиться в Херсонській області, в м. Нова Каховка на території парку імені С. М. Фалдзинського.
Це одне з найкращих місць для відвідин всією сім’єю, дітьми та дорослими, мешканцями та гостями міста. В 1992 р. в парку імені С. М. Фалдзинського на березі Дніпра директор приватного підприємства «Відродження» Навроцький М. Р. організував центр сімейного відпочинку, відкрив міні-зоопарк, прикрасив цю місцину своїми власними витворами різьблення – 150 дерев’яних скульптур казкових героїв. Частина цих скульптур утворили «Поляну казок», що зайняла 0,9 га землі.
На території зоопарку мешкали 150 тварин і птахів, які представляють різні частини як України, так і світу: фазани, черепахи, страуси, сови, дикі гуси, муфлони, павичі, косулі, нутрії, білки та ін. Цікавою є ландшафтна архітектура «Казкової діброви», що врахувала особливості місцевого рельєфу та наявність природних джерел. Озеро, ставки, фонтани, водограї, квітник, зелені насадження, бесідки, лавочки, гарні містки – все це зруйноване росією!
росіяни відповідатимуть за позбавлення води людей на Півдні Херсонщини та в Криму, найстрашнішим дійством їхнього теракту є знищення частини населених пунктів та цінних природних екосистем.
Destruction of the zoo "Fairy Tale Forest"
On 6 June 2023, as a result of the destruction of the dam at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station by Russian troops, the Fairy Tale Forest Zoo, located in the Kherson region, in the city of Nova Kakhovka, on the territory of the S. M. Faldzynskyi Park, was destroyed.
The Kakhovka hydroelectric power station is located 5 km from the Russian-held Nova Kakhovka. Water intake for the North Crimean Canal, which has been unblocked by the occupiers since the beginning of the invasion, is carried out in the Kakhovka reservoir.
This hydroelectric power plant is the lowest and last (sixth) stage in the Dnipro reservoir cascade. The hydroelectric power plant near Nova Kakhovka ensures the annual regulation of the Dnipro river flow to ensure that the southern part of Ukraine has electricity and water.
On 20 October 2022, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy warned that Russia was preparing to stage a new large-scale terrorist attack - to blow up the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station in Kherson region. At the same time, he listed other consequences that could result from the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP and its dam:
- Hundreds of thousands of residents of southern Ukraine would be in the danger zone and could suffer from the resulting floods
- water supply to a large part of southern Ukraine and Crimea could be disrupted
- a Russian terrorist attack could leave the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant without water for cooling, since water for the ZNPP is taken from the Kakhovka reservoir
- the overall devastating environmental, humanitarian, and man-made consequences of such a terrorist attack would reach the scale of a historic catastrophe
On 6 June 2023, Russia destroyed the dam at Kakhovka HPP. Villages on the right bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region are under threat of flooding. Evacuations are underway.
In addition to the large-scale damage that the occupiers have caused to the population, large areas of valuable natural resources have been affected. We have lost the Fairy Tale Grove Zoo and Recreation Complex, located in the Kherson region, in the town of Nova Kakhovka, in the territory of the S.M. Faldzinsky Park.
It is one of the best places to visit for the whole family, children and adults, residents and visitors. In 1992, in the S.M. Faldzynskyi Park on the banks of the Dnipro River, the director of the private enterprise "Vidrodzhennia" Navrotskyi M.R. organised a family recreation centre, opened a mini-zoo, and decorated the place with his own carvings - 150 wooden sculptures of fairy-tale characters. Some of these sculptures formed the Glade of Fairy Tales, which occupies 0.9 hectares of land.
The zoo was home to 150 animals and birds representing different parts of both Ukraine and the world: pheasants, turtles, ostriches, owls, wild geese, mouflons, peacocks, roes, nutria, squirrels, etc. The landscape architecture of the Fairy Tale Grove is also interesting, taking into account the peculiarities of the local terrain and the presence of natural springs. A lake, ponds, fountains, waterfalls, a flower garden, green spaces, pavilions, benches, beautiful bridges - all of this has been destroyed by Russia!
The Russians will be responsible for depriving people in the south of Kherson region and in Crimea of water. The most terrible act of their terrorist attack is the destruction of some settlements, the biosphere and valuable natural ecosystems.
